WL 8

The WL 8 Line Source element has an operating frequency bandwith from 80 Hz to 18 kHz and this response can be lowered down to 35 Hz with the addition of the WL 18SW low frequency extension cabinet.
The WL 8 system is a 2-way, bi-amplified design and is equipped with 2x8" speakers in a bass-reflex turned enclosure.

The HF section features a 3" diaphragm driver coupled to a HRT waveguide. The V-shaped coplanar transducer configuration generates a symmetric horizontal coverage of 120 deg without secondary lobes over the entire frequency range.

The combination of coplanar symmetry and HRT waveguide in the HF region allows the system to fulfil the WSBT criteria, thereby allowing the wave front of a WL 8 line source to be curved up to maximum of 10 deg for each element without breaking the inter-element acoustic coupling.

The WL 8 enclosure heart is made of first grade Baltic birch plywood with top and bottom aluminium plates to ensure maximum acoustical and mechanical integrity. The 3-point rigging system allows flying up to 24 WL 8.
